A Special Thank You

This is a special thank you to people who have been significant in their special support in the early part of the last week (21/9/98 - 23/9/98).  There are others who are mentioned on other pages with very significant roles also.

David Richardson (Channel Seven Today Tongiht) and the Today Tonight team (mention just a few - Meni, Darren and crew) for their outstanding support to my wife and our AJ during this most difficult and emotional time.   For being there for us and listening to our never ending events by phone and being available all the time.  For taking time to come to our home and show their concern when Suzanne broke down minutes after we started talking. We thank ytou for yuor support and strength, the week woudl have been so much more difficult without you all.   Especially all those at Channel Seven, including Joanne Rouse from   News who managed to get a statement from DOCS that shed so much light on the story.  We will always be  greatful for your support.

Darren Roberts (Channel Ten News) and the News Team who came to Liverpool and interviewed us with very noisy traffic at Suzanne's now EX-GP's surgey.   For being so helpful in a most desparate and uncertain time where information and honesty wasn't the highlight of the day.  Darren we thank you and your writers and Jesica Rowe for the totally fantastic presentation on Tuesday Night.  It left me feeling supported and reassured we were doing the right thing.

Thanks to Tim Collits who came out to our home on Wednesday (also from Channel Ten News) with his great Crew to interview Marina Voncina.  And especially thanks for coming back after you left.  I told you I was sus about that police car down the end of the road!

We'd like to thank Annemarie from ACA (Channel 9) for providing us with a safe place to rest on Tuesday after the drama unfolded in Liverpool.  We feel pretty sure now that DOCD intended taking AJ after the Doctors appointment.  Why else woudl they need to send THREE Staff?

Thank you to Narelle Clark (from the Parent-L mail list) for giving us special support on Tuesday night, inviting us to her home to trample on her Husband and three wonderful and extremely well behaved and entertaining children.  It was very warming to watch your 20 month old son still breast feeding and AJ certainly wasn't going to miss out either!  Thank you for inviting Robyn Dempsy, your Midwife for her support, advice and unexpected medical report.

To Robyn Dempsy for helping Suzanne through a rough time with clear and understandable knowledge backed up by qualification.  It has for the second time been refreshing to see that Midwives are in fact very supportive and wonderful people. (AJ was delivered by a Midwife and she was wonderful too!)  For being a Human rather than a person who earns a dollar from using your skills.  Also for coming to support us and continue to provide advice and answer Suzannes questions at the Paedeatricians on Thursday - especially on such short notice.  (Twice!)

Marina Voncina, who was so shocked to hear my story when I called her merely asking for advice, who took it upon herself to run with our case as our legal counsel. your advice and help has been wonderful.  Being so available with all your duties not only with your practice but also with your role as Mayor of Wollondilly just shows that you truely are a remarkable person. i hope you get to spend lots of time with your children because you truely are a special person.

To our new Paediatrician (Name not provided) for the wonderful report he provided and for accepting us on such short notice.  Thank you for your advice and for a clear and honest examination.  AJ was going to be join us for dinner each night this week by default, but DOCS made sure that didn't happen.  Suzanne is now eating properly and AJ is really going those Bananas!
