David Richardson calls to say hello, and check up ... Tuesday 27 October 1998.  12:45 PM

David Richardson (Reporter from Today Tonight) called me just to see how things were going.  It's been about a month since our story aired with Today Tonight and he wanted to make sure I kept good to my promise to ensure our AJ was being well looked after and we hadn't gone into some massive case of ill health.

I updated David on the recently letter Marina had sent to DoCS (which will appear on this site in a few days time.)  We talked about AJ's progress and weight gain since September 23 when David and his fantastic crew came to our home and interviewed us.

He said Channel Seven were still getting calls about our story and in particular more DoCS stories.  Seems many people have been bitten by the DoCS bug.

So much for linking and helping families.

I asked if they had any more up and coming DoCS stories.  David said nothing at this time, but one never knows what might air!

It was nice to hear from people who lead very busy lives and take a moment to call us and say hello.  That just reinforces my opinion of the Channel Seven people who are loyal and caring. Something you don't find in many places or organisations today.

Perhaps a little more THOUGHT first from DoCS and less HASTE would make DoCS a little more functional.  Perhaps DoCS need a few "investigative" training sessions with Today Tonight Staff :)
