I've just received a letter from the NSW POLICE SERVICE Local Area Command. The first paragraph is the important one: "I refer to your written complaint concerning the alleged actions by a police officer at [suburb] on 21 September, 1998." The third paragraph says: "... . Accordingly your verbal complaint has been referred ..." I'm not going to say any more. I don't think I need to. As you know I've spoken with the Ombudsman's office anyway, at least in an informal capacity. So this will only confirm and back up the case. I might try and speak with Ms. Irene Moss (The Ombudsman) tomorrow. Just to get introductions out of the way. At least the Police are in contact with me and I feel we are working towards something, I'm just not sure what yet. If you have any suggestions as to what action might be application to be requested of the NSW Police force in this matter, please email me and let me know.
