| Thursday 8 October 1998. 3:36 PM Just finished a
phone call with the Community Services Commission.
They had a phone conversation with Pauline yesterday, with some interesting comments.
Just a brief outline:
- DoCS have no current intention to remove AJ
- Pauline prefers to Fax with me rather than phone because she is afraid with all the
technology we have we might record her conversation.
- They have a letter in draft to address the affairs that is currently in the Legal
Department being viewed.
- The Union has advised the staff concerned not to tell me what their qualifications might
be.
- DoCS is happy to assist with counselling by way of local community support.
Now my comments.
- I would prefer "have no future intent to remove AJ." To which I was told
that in the future there might be a need. I said there will be no future need as
there was no past need.
- I don't mind faxes. Writing is better than phone conversations that can be denied.
In fact why be concerned over a conversation hat is knowingly recorded if you are
going to write a fax anyway?
- I look forward to the draft letter. It's been a LONG time in coming.
- The qualifications of the staff - if any - are a matter of public record anyway.
Are they afraid that by stating they have no qualifications it will put them in a
difficult position.
- Suzanne will not accept "community" counselling. She might have to see several
counsellors before finding one she is comfortable with. Certainly a community
counsellor is not going to be suitable. We require a specialist in Trauma and Post
Natal Depression. The experience we have had with the average medic hasn't been what
one would call comforting.
So that's the current state of the game play right now.
What's next ???
