| Tuesday 6 October 1998. 7:57 PM Today was a quiteish
day.
Faye Lo Po the Minister for Community Services was interviewed on 2GB by Graham
Richardson this morning. She indicated that she was going to contact us "very
soon."
Problem I see is that we opened the doors of communication within the first 24 hours.
My purpose for calling Lo Po was in fact to ask her to pull some heads in and get
this mess sorted out. It wasn't to attack her or criticise her.
Why do people SLAM the doors that open to the fortune on their faces only to be met
later with resistance. I now have NO FAITH in LO PO and in fact will turn this part
into a Media Frenzy, because she should have spoken to me the moment I called, not
promising on live radio to call me 15 days or more after the event. So much for
"Elected representatives."
Oh yes, LO PO also made some comment about us being very uncooperative, non
communicative and difficult to contact.
Richardson made a big thing about the fact that EVERYTHING about AJ is on the web site,
including Photos, the DOCS Saga, Audio and shortly Video. I guess LO PO needs an
Internet Connection - anyone want to sponsor one? HAVE
YOUR SAY ON FAYE
Marina came around today. We had a few fax exchanged with DOCS. Pauline
Rockley finally sent me the list of names of staff. That was AFTER I sent a second
request. Funny that. Anyway she didn't include the qualifications of the
staff. Lets see if that comes in next.
She indicated she was confused as to who she was suppose to be corresponding to as
Marina was our legal counsel.
<sigh> Managers without training. Marina is the legal counsel to my Wife
and Child. Me? I'm not in the picture. Really. I just acted as
Suzanne's authority. <smile> I indicated to Pauline that anything to do
with AJ and Suzanne in relation to the legals was to be directed to Marina and that I was
to receive prompt responses to any requests I make. That Marina and I had delegated
various responsibilities between us. I might post the fax online later. I
can't see why not.
The guy who is suppose to replace our door spoke to me today. He can't even quote
the work till late next week. This made us irate.
I faxed the Police Inspector indicating that we were not impressed and that we can't
really leave the house unattended. It was in their interests to FIX it fast or post
police at our door step 24 x 7 to protect our premises. I found out today that with
the Front door the way it is we have no insurance cover. <sigh> Hoe we
don't get burgled. At least the Online Video Security system is running. I'll
actually be putting that online shortly. And of course we'll have AJ cam!
Watch for details.
I sent a second letter to the inspector inviting him for a meeting and viewing of the
Video Tape. That perhaps we can resolve the issue of credibility of the Police force
before any more harm is done. I indicated I felt we could adequately resolve the
issue between ourselves. I hope he acts quickly. If I get any more formal,
heads will really start to role.
I also asked for copies of all Police Procedure manuals and other documents. Lets
see if the NSW Police force is as quick as the Department of Community Services :)
Or will the Police really let us down and show how slow, outdated, and
non-communicative they are?
I've also scanned the DOCS policy issued by Carmel Niland, problem is the images are
quite large and I don't have time to type them in. I might request soft copies :)
What do you think? Should the Department provide Soft copies?
Outside of that - today was an uneventful day. Probably a good thing. Suzi
was pretty up and down again. Stamping her feet with anger and frustration from time
to time. Slamming the occasional door.
AJ has been very demanding today. 2 Bananas and a lot of Pumpkin. Oh and of
course Breast Ala Carte. And I mean Ala Carte. He sees more of Suzanne than I
DO!
Don't think it's doing much to his weight though. |
