| Tursday 1 October 1998. 9:10 AM Finally I got around
to making "the" telephone call.
I called the BONDS company. They make Clothing for Children amoungst many other
things. And of course are known for the world famous "Bonds Suit"
And I can tell you, I know why they are world famous!
At first when Suzi started using them I thought they looked tacky and just weren't
"our" style. I wanted our AJ dressed neatly and properly. Then
reality bit. Shirts and Pants and those things are just ridiculous for small
children. They fall off. They are bulky and worst - you can't change the nappy
without a LOT OF HARD WORK!
Bonds suits button up the front with very good quality snap buttons. In fact
their totally excellent design caused me to suggest appart fomr the dozens that were given
to us by her sisters friend in Canberra that we purchase more when he outgrow those.
So I have NO hesitation in RECOMMENDING BONDS Suits. They are just a totally
fantastic and when AJ is dressed in other clothing I avoid "Father Change"
duties :)
Back to the point. The first point that DOCS were pushing was that our AJ was
"always dressed in pink bonds suits no matter what weather."
Of course on the night they devistated our family (without apology) AJ was wearing a
Blue Bonds suit! Go figure!
So I spoke to Bonds. I've asked if they will issue a statement inrelation to the
complaint. The gentleman I spoke to was rather stunned when I explained the story and the
bit about Pink Bonds suits. He basicly said "So whats the problem?"
I think that says it all don't you?
He then commented that perhaps he had better be careful, he had just purchased for his
daughter an outfit of Yellow and Blue, maybe he shoudl take it back and get more
approriate colours? I laughed of course.
He also made the comment that our AJ is a very lucky boy to have parents with such
attitudes (I can't remember his exact words now, but they were really flattering.)
So get ready for the next exciting interjection - for your entertainment and
diversification.
Should Babies wear Colour Specific Suits?
And is this a design requirement?
