Anyway I've been promising Paul since the event to complete the upgrade of his
business. Well we did it today without too many Dramas.
I had to call Telstra Internet to help resolve a minor routing problem, which is just
ordinary. But the young lady in Perth had heard the story. We had a brief chat
and she was very sympathetic.
Suddenly the routing started working and I received a call from one of the technical
Support staff. He'd seen the story too and was about as shocked as most people are.
Anyway after all was working, Paul was very pleased with his new Telstra Internet
Connection and the amazing improvement on performance his users will now see.
See how many people are affected by such a totally ridiculous bungle? Paul was
affected, his users are affected, Telstra was affected. It just goes on and on.
How many people don't have at least one person away contact with my family?
There are millions of people who use internet and many watched the story on Today
Tonight.
It's about time the Government WOKE UP. Wait till we publish the HAVE YOUR SAY pages! I've been reading them (rather
than writing the program to display them) and the comments are so strong.
Keep writing. Ask your friends to write. The support you give my family is
important to our recovery. Few people can imagine the trauma. You can imagine
all you like, but until it happens to you (and I sincerely hope it never happens again)
you just have no idea what it's like. We have no idea what it's like to not know
where your children are for ten months either. |
