I forgot to mention one of the special things that happened today.

I called our local Mayor.

I've had a lot of contact with her before.  She is a lovely lady (and Mum!).  Marina and I originally met when as a local resident I was opposing the councils Rate Rise a couple of years ago.   Now Marina is a person who doesn't make things personal.  Back then she told me a story or two about her Legal work.  Marina does a lot of Welfare Legal representation for people in our region of NSW. (OK I remembered that party why I called, but it wasn't the main reason.)

Anyway Marina was stunned when I told her the story.

Seems to be the common reaction.

We invited her to come and see us and Marina arrived to be interviewed by Channel Ten who are fantastic with their story coverage.

I showed Marina and the CH 10 Reporter Tim Collits the video tape and they were both silent.

Marina having defended many similar cases has always found it hard to convince the judge that DOCS actually intimidated and didn't explain the matter to the parents but has never been able to prove it ... until now.

Suzanne and I thank Marina for taking this whole thing on without asking us for anything, offering her time, and Marina is very busy with Mayoral Duties and her two legal practises and her family of very well spoken children.
