CHILDREN AND YOUNG PERSONS (CARE AND PROTECTION) ACT 1998 - SECT 168
168 Access to personal information
(1) On leaving, or after having left, out-of-home care, a child or young
person is entitled to have access, free of charge, to personal information
relating directly to the child or young person in any records kept by:
(a) the designated agency that had supervisory responsibility for the
child or young person, or
(b) his or her authorised carer.
(2) The designated agency is to provide an appropriate person to support and
assist the child or young person at the time when access to the information
occurs.
