This is the amazing and tragic story
about the abuse of power constantly shown by the New South Wales Department of Community Services and the New South Wales Police Force in the City of Sydney.

The City of the 2000 Olympic Games.

It's about people trying to intimidate the parents into doing what they want, without asking questions.  Almost sheep like - follow the leader.   Even if the leader has no experience, no qualifications and isn't a parent.

This story is about Adam Jean-Luc Todd. Born 10 day premature. A skinny boy by genetics being that his Mum (Suzanne) and Dad (Adam) are both tall thin people and happen also to be related - distantly.

It's about a neighbour who was entrusted with the care of Baby AJ for a few hours a day, three days a week, only literally across the road.   A phone call away - two rings and hang up.  A neighbour who felt it so important to thrust their own parenting attitudes of Formula feeding and behavioural taming - even though AJ is in fact allergic and reacts badly to Formula and the neighbour was told explicitly not to feed Baby AJ any Formula.

It's about a Parents Right to choose to Breast Feed their Baby AJ according to the recommendations of the World Health Organisation, to use common sense in the care and love given to their baby AJ.

It's about our Baby AJ, who was occasionally dressed in a Pink Bonds Suit. Does colour of ones clothing really matter?  AJ also has Yellow, Purple, Green, Blue and White suits too.

It's about a Mother who participated in mail lists and sought comments from other mothers - via the Internet. A Mother who is accused of reading books.  A Mother who taught the Obstetrician at the time of her birth about Mucous Plugs and Strep B - learnt from research on the Internet. (The Ob, thought it was a Low Placenta and wanted to induce Labor. AJ was naturally born - thanks to the strength of Suzanne and Adam.)

It's about a Government Department who deliberately avoid following procedures designed to protect not only themselves but that of the Families the Department constantly tears to pieces - and abuse powers, that might otherwise save lives, just so they don't have to do any paper work and can get home on time.  It doesn't matter about the stress placed on the parents - especially new Parents only 18 months Married.  What's another Divorce?

It's about a Police Force totally out of control.   Constables Breaking down doors, caught on Home Video.  It's about a Police Man trying to get a small babies father to start a fight hopefully leading to an arrest, separating the Mother and Father so that Baby AJ could be placed into Foster care ...

... to be ...

fed foods that make him hurt and cry
be in a place that had no love
be away from the one most important thing in his life

his Mothers Breast

It's about two Department of Community Service Workers who actually bashed Baby AJ's head so hard he developed a bruise that made his Daddy cry - just thinking about the harm that might have come to be.

And all of this was taped, as it happened on Baby AJ's Video Camera.

Adam, Suzanne and AJ wish to thank sincerely Channel Seven's Today Tonight for their warm support through the early part of the families ordeal.  For ensuring that National TV Coverage was provided, hopefully allowing other Parents to see that they can in fact stand up for their rights.

And that you can, if you believe in yourself, have your stolen Baby back in your arms in the time it takes to drive to town.

But AJ should NEVER have been removed.

And the Todd Family never invaded.
